823 pounds of e-waste collected from NGL employees

Paul Theisen pictured with a few of the collected e-waste items.NGL held an e-waste drive to help employees properly dispose of their old, discarded or unused electronics. During the one-week drive, 823 pounds of e-waste was collected for recycling; helping to keep elements such as yttrium, osmium, indium and even gold out of landfills. NGL sponsored the drive and paid to properly dispose of the electronic items.

There were a variety of items collected, including 18 laptops, 7 desktop towers, 4 TVs, 5 microwaves, 10+ tablets and 10+ phones.

“NGL wanted to provide an opportunity for employees to get rid of old electronic items. When electronics end up in landfills toxins can leak into the soil and water. Last year, NGL implemented a new campaign encouraging employees to be greener both at home and at work. It’s an ongoing effort that everyone is excited to take part in,” shared Paul Theisen, Business Analyst and Chair of the NGL Green Team.
