Madison, Wis. (July 22, 2026) – NGL Insurance Company (NGL) is pleased to announce Al Whitmer joins the Preneed Sales team as Senior Vice President, Chief Preneed Distribution Officer. Whitmer is a results-driven insurance distribution executive with more than 20 years of progressive leadership in sales strategy, channel development, and organizational transformation.
As Senior Vice President, Chief Preneed Distribution Officer, Whitmer will lead the NGL Preneed sales program, including overseeing the Sales team, distribution strategy and profitability to achieve sales objectives. He will work closely with partners to optimize existing relationships and implement objectives to help ensure successful growth of their Preneed programs. Additionally, he will focus on identifying new partners whose strategic goals and values align with NGL.

Most recently, Whitmer was Assistant Vice President, National Sales Distribution at Wellabe. While there, he developed a proven track record of growing Preneed distribution networks nationally. Whitmer is known for building high-performing sales cultures and driving enterprise-level outcomes through disciplined execution.

Whitmer earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Henry W. Bloch School of Management at University of Missouri-Kansas City.
